The Latin GRAMMY Awards were launched in 2000 with a very successful
first annual telecast aired on CBS. It was the first primarily Spanish-language
prime-time program carried on network television. Like the GRAMMY
Awards, the Latin GRAMMYs recognize artistic and technical excellence
in the recording arts and sciences by peer vote
(Latin GRAMMY Awards Process).It has already come to represent the height of achievement in Latin
recording.

work. With the exception of the category field, which requires
